Kathy Lightner, CPA, MST, CGMA
Growing-up in Maryland, Kathy is a proud graduate of the University of Maryland – College Park, obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2000. After graduating, Kathy moved to Newport News, Va. to be with her fiance as he completed his Navy service.
The couple moved to Yorktown, Va. in 2003 to start a family and raise two remarkable boys. While staying busy with work, family, soccer, and some much needed beach trips, Kathy became a Certified Public Accountant in January, 2011, then received her Master of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University in August of 2011.
Kathy’s “Clients 1st” mentality inspired her to open her own firm in Yorktown, ensuring that each of her clients are one-in-a-million, not one-of-a-million.
